teridophyta fans take note: Galison's Forest Ferns portfolio of notecards reproduces four different chromolithograms of ferns by two different eminent botanical illustrators of Victorian era: Anne Pratt (1806-1893), known for her popular but accurate style, and Edward J. Lowe (1825-1900), famous for his 8-volume Ferns: British and Exotic. Galision's portfolio holds three cards each of Cystoplens dentata, Asplenium fontanum, and Lastrea Oreopteris, all by Anne Pratt, c. 1880, and Polypodium cuspidatum, 1872, by Edward J. Lowe.
